After President Donald Trump’s call for a national emergency declaration, 16 states have decided to sue Trump
for his unconstitutional decision. The President believes that the border wall will estimate to cost $23bn to construct. Though states have decided to sue Trump because he has decided to take there taxpayers money:“the lawsuit aims to protect their residents, natural resources and economic interests”. They believe that the order given by Trump will cause them to divert funds from things like the bullet train (meant to be built in California) and instead into the border wall. The governor of California says that Trump's decision is a “political theatre” and does not make any sense. Trump says that the wall will be built in order to keep immigrants and the contents that they bring out of the United States, though the majority of immigrants are said to come through ports, which would not be blocked by then wall. Trump seems to have gotten his way with the call of the national emergency, giving him $8bn out of the $23bn, but will most likely not get any, due to the massive number of states filing lawsuits which will most likely
end up in the supreme court.

I think the border wall shouldn't be built.No i dont think it calls for national emergency. Honestly i think building the wall is a waste of time and money like we can use it for something more useful and helpful.
ReplyDeleteThe wall should have been built a year ago; a national emergency declaration should not be necessary. The Supreme Court will most likely side with him, although he is using all his current abilities to get the wall built.

3.There is too much confusion and disagreement, so the wall will either be built in a couple years or never be built at all.
I don't think the border wall should be built because it is not a national emergency and money from the emergency funding shouldn't be "stolen" when it could be used for other things. There is a lot of disagreement with building this wall but I believe that although he has power, congress will not allow him to build this wall and the government would not approve and let this happen.

The border wall is definitely not a national emergency as it’ll do next to nothing in preventing people to crossing the border and cost way too much. The states suing him have a valid point in doing so because it’s a way to make sure the national emergency doesn’t go through, by coming at the issue as a unified front.
ReplyDelete90% of our drugs come from the mexican border. The border will severely slow sex trafficking and people coming through the border to commit crimes in the US. Trump has made strides to give citizenship to 1.8 million people and I strongly applaud him for it.

I personally believe that Trump won't receive all the money to build the wall because the cost is so much that it would most likely not work out in the end since they won't settle on an agreement
ReplyDeleteThe plan to build the border wall is disliked by many and is not the only solution out there. With the many people against the border wall, I don't think that it would be possible for the wall to be built.
