President Trump and Kim Jong Un of North Korea Upcoming Negotiations
"I think your country has tremendous economic potential," Trump stated. "I think you will have a tremendous future with you country-a great leader. And I look forward to watching it happen and helping it to happen." This was a compliment stated by Trump towards Kim before they had their dinner. The importance about this meeting is that this historical event can potentially be the steps to declare permanent peace on the divided Korean Peninsula. It also has the potential to build a new relationship between the two countries and finally end the bitter rivalry between the two. Another importance is that Trump is trying to persuade Kim Jong un to agree with denuclearization. Both countries have also agreed to build a better relationship establishing a peace regime on the Korean peninsula, and work towards complete denuclearization.

I feel that since there is a better connection between the US and North Korea that yes, there will be some rivalry with other countries especially South Korea, since there has been problems between the two.
ReplyDeleteI think that since there is a lot of rivalry happening with the U.S and other countries that more problems are going to happen with South Korea because the U.S has a good connection with North Korea.

I think that the negotiation between Donald Trump and Kim Jong un can be beneficial for the United States either now or in the future, although, it may cause rivalry with other countries.

I think that Trump and Kim Jong un's negotiations will not result in rivalry with other nations because these negotiations benefit everyone around the world. Everyone is threatened by the North Korea nuclear weapons program so I don't think that any nation would argue against what Trump is trying to achieve.
