On Monday the 21st of January, Israel decided to launch airstrikes at Syria. Israel sent out a message to Syria and said that the military was only targeting Iranian forces and warned Syria not to set fire at Israeli jets. Israel promised that they would continue to act against Iran's presence in Syria. The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said 11 were killed in this strike and 2 of them were Syrian nationals. This attack was described as the most intense and violent attack against the regime forces since May 2018. Last May Israel carried out a large scale attack on Iranian targets in Syria. Syrian air defenses destroyed more than 30 cruise missiles and guided air bombs in the course of repelling the attack. Iran was growing impatient to fight Israel and promised to fight the Zionist regime. Israel's military is an elevated alert in the north and ski area in the Golden Heights has been closed. There are no other restrictions on civilian movement.Discussion Questions:

ReplyDeleteIf Israel decided to attack Iran again they will probably attack both Israel and Syria for revenge. Iran may warn to stop or just attack because they want to protect themselves.They may attack to protect themselves from Israel even if Israel doesn't attack again.There isn't really any point in waiting because it could just hurt them more.
