Many people who are wanting to cross the U.S. border are most likely trying to flee from deadly conditions in their home countries. Because of the process of coming to the US is unreasonably long, many people are forced to cross the border illegally. For people like Jeremias Pascoal, when they get caught or surrender to Border Patrol, they are forced to stay in asylum buildings Brownsville, TX, which happens to be filled with a bunch of diseases like Chickenpox, Tuberculosis, Scabies, etc. Even though Trump is trying to shut down immigration, people who do get excepted into asylum will have to wait in Tijuana or their home countries until their hearings in court. Because of this issue, many people like Miguel Aquino are having lawyers, decline their cases as they still in Mexico for their hearing date to arrive.

The way immigrants are being treated is beyond wrong and no human should have to go through this. People are wanting to come to the US to get a better life but at the same time aren't allowed to fulfill a better living style.

ReplyDeleteI think that the US could do a better job with processing people's trials to immigrate. I think that people are being treated incredibly poorly and that it is upon the US and the immigrants' country to treat people better when they simply want a better life somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't think the immigrants should be waiting in California or Texas in those asylums because they carry many diseases which could kill or infect the person. The conditions in the asylum building is just horrendous and no person should ever have to go through the pain of waiting there just for a hearing date. :)
ReplyDeleteI think that the immigrants are treated not even as human beings and it's really frustrating to hear about the way that they are being treated on the news. They aren't any less of a person than anyone else is in the US and I believe that the way they are being treated needs to change asap.
ReplyDeleteI think that the immigrants are treated poorly, and they are absolutely not treated as human beings. Immigrants want to come to the US to have better lives, so the people should change the way they treat them.
