A police officer in Paris died after being shot in the head by a colleague. Police union leader Christophe Crepin called it “a tragedy due to a mistake in handling a loaded firearm.” According to Le Parisien, a French newspaper, both police officers were "playing at drawing their weapons." She was shot while guarding a building with two other officers present. The suspect has been suspended and taken into custody. There has also been an involuntary homicide investigation on the situation.
1. What do you think should happen to the suspect?
2. How could things like this be avoided?

The suspect should be charged for their crimes. Things like this could be avoided by being more responsible with firearms.
ReplyDeleteBetter training for police, taking job more seriously, handling guns as if they were loaded at all times
ReplyDeleteHaving the responsibility to deal with guns more seriously is a necessity for police, in regards to their training, since these type of accidents should never happen.
ReplyDeleteNobody should play around with real firearms. The suspect should be charged with the homicide and this situation should be an example to officers not to deal with guns lightly.
ReplyDeleteI think that all police and people who have weapons and firearms in their possession should know the real consequences of their actions, even if they didn't mean to do it. I think that people should never "play" with real weapons because you never know if the firearm is loaded or not, especially because this isn't the first time someone has been shot accidentally.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the the suspect should be responsible for shooting the guys even if it was an accident because before you train to become a police, you should be able to know how to use a gun

DeleteThe suspect should be held responsible and charged for what they did. Thinks like this could be avoided by being more responsible with firearms.
ReplyDeleteThey can avoid these accidents by not playing with guns and by having more responsibility.
ReplyDeleteThese accidents can be avoided by not "playing" with firearms that is very irresponsible and dangerous. I believe the suspect should be charged.
ReplyDeleteThe police officer needs to have better training and to avoid this they should've not "played" with their weapons, all of them need to take responsibility for every action because of this situation
