500 killed in Congo attack being investigated as a crime against humanity

At least 500 were killed in the attack. families were burned alive in their homes and sadly to say a 2 year old was thrown into a dangerous tank. They say it was all planned and that the violence broke out when a community wanted to bury him in another community and that's when all hell broke loose. The bodies are thrown into the Congo river. The violence broke down around December 16 through 18. Members of the Batende community attacked some villages and they say it was with "extreme violence and speed and didn't let no one escape".  A month later the UN reported to say 890 people died in all of the attack.

1) If you were the mother of the child who was thrown in the tank how would you of react?

2) When did the attacks occur ?

3) How are the remaining survivors going to recover from all this ?

Survivors of an attack in the western village of Bongende, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, stand on January 27, 2019, next to a mass grave that allegedly contains 100 bodies

  2. In my opinion if I was the mother of the 2 year old. I would be very upset because instead of helping out the innocent child they threw the little girl like it was nothing.

  3. I would be angry and upset if I was the mother of that 2 year old. They acted as if that child had no life and instead of helping it they threw it into a tank with no mercy. I believe that the remaining survivors can try to find help or aid from other countries when it comes to materials or rebuild themselves together without the help of the government because of their carelessness. This is a very extreme crime and action should be taken against these people.

  6. If I was a guardian to my child that was thrown in the tank I would feel a massive lost and be extremely furious with the people because they didn't have any right to act out the way they did because the 2 year old never did anything to those people/that person.

  7. The survivors of the attacks could ask for help from neighboring nations or seek help from the UN as it is being investigated as a crime against humanity.

  8. If I was the parent/guardian of a child that was thrown into a tank, I would be furious and overwhelmed with emotions. I probably wouldn't know how to react and instead would lash out and try and get my child back. They didn't have any right to do something like this and that 2 year old that was in the story, did absolutely nothing wrong, he couldn't do anything wong. He is only 2.

  10. If I was the mother of the child that was thrown into the tank I would extremely furious and sad because 1) no mother ever wants to see their child get hurt, 2) my child could have died. :) - Rani Maharaj
