During the state of the union speech this Tuesday president Trump calls partisan investigations ridiculous saying “If there is going to be peace and legislation, there cannot be war and investigation. It just doesn’t work that way.” Trump is referring to the Mueller Russia investigation, the special counsel investigation looking into Russia’s involvement in the 2016 elections. If there was evidence of Russian collusion Trump would be impeached. People involved in the investigation say that it is close to being completed. Democrats responded to the speech saying that the investigation should be seen to the end and that he is attempting to undermine the investigation.
Questions:
- Do you think Trump is guilty of collusion with Russia?
- Do you think the investigation should be seen through?
- Did you watch the state of the union?
I believe that the investigation should be seen through and should be done thoroughly in order for there to be no problems in the future
ReplyDeleteI believe that the investigation should be seen through because this is a very serious crime and the citizens would not be happy with a president who was wrongfully elected to run their country. If Trump did have support from the Russians during the election, action should be taken out against him and he should be impeached as his approval rating in 2018 was around 50%. I personally didn't watch the state of the union but I would be interested in watching a replay later to hear what people have to say.

DeleteI did not see the or watch the state union, but from the paragraph i believe what he says is partially true because he should go through with the investigation. When he says, "If there is going to be peace and legislation, there cannot be war and investigation. It just doesn’t work that way." i Agree you cant be trying to gaining peace if people are starting wars.
ReplyDeleteI did watch the State of the Union and I fully believe that the investigation should be sought through. The President must be treated as any other individual if not held to a higher account.
ReplyDeleteTrump should be investigated like any individual, but the media, especially the one cited in for this post, claims that he is guilty, despite a lack of evidence. Every time they claim that there has been new evidence, it turns out to be a fluke, unimportant, or simply of not enough importance to be an impeachable offense.
ReplyDelete1.I think that to assume that trump was working with them with out a certain amount of data is wrong to do, however this should be lookef into because this is the leader of our nation and this could get him kicked out if there is enough evidience.
ReplyDeleteI think the investigation should definitely be followed through. The fact that Trump wants the investigation to be dropped is a definite red flag that he has something to hide. It is only fair to everyone to know the truth about the 2016 elections so that everyone can move forward and focus on other things.

ReplyDeleteThe investigation should be further anyalized. The fact that trump wants the investagtion to be dropped is a very unintelligent thing to do because it shows that he might be protecting el chapo
ReplyDeleteTrumps dissmisal of the investigation was inappropriate for the State of the Union speech. Instead of focusing on national problems he addressed his person problems with the democrats which was in my opinion not ok.
